HI. As title states I upgraded to FF but my now router cannot find my Brother Printer.
On a web search I've found that there seems to be a common problem with EERO and brother printers. Please don't tell me that I've upgraded and made my excellent printer into a brick?
Regards and Happy New Year.

So for 99% of all TalkTalk customers who just want to set it up and crack on as normal the eero will do the job with no problem you need to stop trolling threads here its getting a little tired!

You may say that I couldn't possibly comment.🤫

My advice with the Eero is to put it back in its box, in a cupboard and never take it out again. I'm sure they're great if you have a very simple network and are not particularly technicaly savvy but once things get a bit more complicated or you need to work out a network problem then they're a nightmare. I've got a few 2.4ghz wildlife cameras that became useless the moment I started using a TalkTalk Eero, they would not stay connected and there was just no way of working out what the issue was. Switched to a Unifi router and bam, sorted. No need for an Eero App either, can you just connect through a browser like any normal router.

Thanks for that.
I hope you have a great year and continue to offer help to us in need.

Great news well done, I didn't want to disparage the euro, never having had one to try. So glad you sorted it out for yourself, always the best most rewarding result.
Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year.

Hi Divesec, no problem, I'm not available all the time.
The cable I had had a USB connection on it, so no joy.
I did an in depth delve into the computer and removed every trace of my printer. Then forced the printer driver onto it { it refused to load at first but I had strong words with it :} and finally got it on } then did a deep reset on the printer, and finally it connected. It's been running now most of the day, including turning off the printer twice to make sure would still connect.
BTW on a web search it seems EERO and Brother printers are not the best bedfellows. I'm a bit surprised TT are using EERO at it seems to have a lot of glitches.
Anyhow, thanks for your help

Hi @LostBloke2 sorry for not getting back sooner. The ethernet cable should find it and the euro should award an IP address after that things should get easier.
Please do let us know how you get on this evening.

Hi Divesec. Thanks for your reply. I manually entered the ssid and password. the printer reported 'connected'. I tried to find it with Windows - no sign. I tried with the EERO app, including the troubleshooting part of the app which tried to find it using only 2.4 ghz - no joy. 'I'm going to try a cable connection today, but I want a wireless connection. So, there's no answer I may have to use my old router which connects to my printer without a hitch.

Hello Michelle, I'm fine thank you. I'd be better if I could connect my printer.
Monday
Morning,
How are you getting on?
Thanks

Hi @LostBloke2 I'm sure you brother will recover. I'm guessing you have tried connecting by WiFi, changed the ssids by any chance?
Have you tried connecting ethernet or printer cable?
Does your printer only understand 2.4ghz WiFi?
