Night time outage & router llights flashing (again)

Hi, similar issue to one of the previous posts.

Last night my internet went down around 1am,  not an uncommon occurence for TT to go down at night ( I'm a shift worker)

Since then the LED has flashed white then amber every 30 seconds and there is a short outage.

I have switched the modem off and fibre box off to reset them several times.

Got to the point where I've put some black tape over it.

I have restarted  the modem via the dashboard, ran check my connection, download speeds etc.

There were / are no faults in the hub history

I do have BB service albeit with a very short fluctuation shown on my PCs internet adapter

Hub status is voice not registered and shows an error

However  I don't use digital voice and haven't had a landline since the change over so this is completely new.

thanks beforehand

I received an email notification but your  helpful reply had disappeared by the time I logged in.

So I just copy and pasted it into mine 👍

Did you not notice the 30 plus  threads on this subject posted over the bank  holiday weekend?

yes I saw that it was a wider issue and chose not to hijack someone elses post.

And no...I didn't realise that it was related to Voip so I didn't read the pinned thread

@Greyngrizzled

I thought i had deleted that post soon after posting it, is it still visible?

Hi there @Greyngrizzled, there is an outage, and I would suggest you try rebooting your router by turning it off and on. Thanks

Hi, thanks for replies

the modem LED stopped flashing sometime today,

Checked this morning,  was still flashing  around 09.00hrs and I covered it with black tape again

And appeared to be stable again when I  peeled the tape back at 18.00hrs

Suppose I'll be none the wiser to whatever glitch caused it.

Hi @Greyngrizzled beyond my knowledge sadly, the team will pick up your posts on Tuesday if not before.

Sorry I can't be more help but hidden away out here in Norfolk fibre is pretty much on a par with unicorns and hens teeth.

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.

bit too far north, my ISP location is showing Kettering/.Perterborough/ Cambridge depending on whichever service is used.

there is an inbound / outbound spike on the ethernet which coincides with the modem LED and the LAN on BT fibre unit

Is it possible even without a landline phone connected that the spammers have actually left voicemail, honestly it never stopped when last plugged one in which is why I have only used my mobile for years.

Hi @Greyngrizzled there do seem to have been outages in Maidenhead during today but no recent reports.
