Hi,
I contacted talktalk customer/technical support last Wednesday 17th and was told they would send a router within 3 to 5 working days. Would you be able to confirm that this has been sent?
The problem with the eero is that my android version is too old to install the app, which would require that I buy a new phone. On top of this I would need to purchase an extender because it only has two ethernet ports. Aside from the extra cost (that I’m not in a position to pay out), I really don’t like the idea of the eero. I much prefer traditional web browser access to my router settings, and as for wifi, I rarely use that anyway.
At the moment my computer is plugged directly into the modem on the wall, and is a bit of a security concern as I don’t have the benefit of a hardware firewall. I’m hoping that my Linux firewall will be enough to protect my system for the time being.
I know it’s only been a week, but I’m getting a bit concerned. I’ve got all the old equipment boxed up and ready to return.
