3 days ago I found the landline is not working. When I pick up the handset there is a continuous tone and cannot dial a number. The green light on the router flashes red from time to time.
I turned off the router and unplugged the white box with 3 green lights (cannot remember what it is called and left it for 30 minutes. Plugged it back in and waited for the green lights, turned router back on and allowed it to connect. Did not solve the problem. Tried again, still not working.
Internet connection OK.

Hi there @Antoni2, as @KeithFrench has said there is an outage with our digital voice service, I've provided information below:
Latest update Monday 26th May 10am:
We're aware some customers may be experiencing issues making or receiving calls with their digital voice service (VoIP).
Some customers may have received an automated SMS advising this has been resolved, this is still ongoing and we're sorry for any confusion caused.
Our engineers are working to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible. We're sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
