phone on fiber

can some one sort  our  phone line out we have joined fiber and the phone does not work we have brought new phones to see if that was the problem but it didnt make any difference we have done chats with people since Wednesday they say they`ve sorted it but when you phone the house number it asks for screening which i dont want on and then it says the line is in use but noboby is using it i want it sorted as we are paying or a service that we are not getting if its not sorted i will take this matter further not happy with the service we have received so far

hi can somebody please sort my phone line out now its been a week now and nobody has sorted it you ring the house phone and it says there is screening service and then it says the person is  on another line when nobody is using he phone it hasnt even got a dialing tone when you pick handset up

Thanks for trying that. Can you try the following:

 

Plug the DVA (grandstream) into the ONT, wait for the broadband light to come on then perform a pinhole reset of the DVA, this should get the phone light back on within about 5 mins, once that comes on can you change setup back to normal.

Hi Chris

my husband has just  done a retest and still not working phone says no connection on had set and if we phone it it says it has a screening on  which i dont want on but if i put name in press hash it says user cannot answer phone have only 2 lights on box do we need someone to come out or send a new box it cannot be the phones as they are bran new im not paying for a service if im not getting what im paying for i think i should have compensation

Don't post this information in the thread, but add what should be the phone number in Personal Information. Go via your avatar/name; settings.

 

At the end of that section, in Private Notes, add your Account number. SAVE CHANGES.

 

Staff respond during the day, Monday to Friday.
