Cannot turn off call safe

despite logging into my account several times over the last three weeks and clicking on the ''manage'' button to turn off call safe......IT WILL NOT TURN OFF / DEACTIVATE !!

 

Help please !!

hi, despite speding TWO hours on chat !!!!!!   and given assurances that call safe had been removed ------  IT IS STILL ACTIVE !!!  I have tried yet again, having lost count how many times i have done this, to deativate it via the settings on my account page but it will not deactivate...Im now on chat ..having spent almost 30mins getting through to an agent only to be told my line meeds testing and then chat disconnected !!!!!!!

i have tried to use the chat sevice - finally got through and was advsied my chat was being passed to an agent - then got this on screen and chat disconnected .....

''Hi, we're sorry it's taking longer than usual to get through to us. We know there is an issue and we're working with Open Reach to get this fixed as quickly as possible. The quickest way to check your service status is to use MyConnection at https://support.talktalk.co.uk/. Thanks for your patience.''

so can someone turn off call safe ....???????????

There appears to be a week's grace before it attracts a charge, @moorlander:

However, several customers have found it difficult to remove from My Account. 

 

Some do not even have it listed in My Account but found it mysteriously active as it still appeared to screen calls. 

 

I would ask Chat to remove this for you during opening hours on Sunday. Forum staff can then verify that it has definitely been removed when they pick up your topic after the weekend.

The actual Chat button was near the bottom of the page, rather than at the top, the last time I checked.
