Digital Voice VOIP on Fibre 65

Hi all, currently out of contract on Fibre 65 with a landline and I was wondering if TalkTalk will get round to offering Digital Voice on Fibre 65 before the landline switchoff?

I've been with TalkTalk a number of years and can't get anything other than Fibre 65 from TalkTalk where I live. I can get Virgin and Toob but I've had Virgin in the past and it was a nightmare.

My other half wants to keep the landline so I could get it ported to a third party VOIP service but was just wanting to see if TalkTalk had any plans so I can consider recontracting or leaving.

@Gliwmaeden2 thanks for the suggestion of speaking to talktalk as I had a chat with them and have now renewed my Fibre 65 contract. 👍

Thanks! I get your point about not divulging plans ahead of time, makes commercial sense. And yes I am FTTC.

I think I will just go ahead and recontract anyways as my Fibre 65 has been rock solid for a couple of years now and its speed has always been plenty for my circumstances. I can cross the landline bridge when I need to.

@chrishall57, if your current Fibre65 is just fibre to the cabinet, you need a new installation for full fibre to the premises:

https://help-centre.talktalk.co.uk/Setting_up_my_service/New_order/How_Full_Fibre_is_installed

You would need to order this with VOIP at the time of making the FF order.

You do need to keep checking availability by putting your postcode in the checker on the main Talktalk website. Plans for it are never divulged ahead of availability  - they cannot promise it before agreements have been sorted out with Openreach  / Cityfibre etc and it will also involve the availability of engineers.

Sometimes, rather than actively looking for it, Talktalk will contact you to offer you the service as a free upgrade etc.

Don't just go by Offers and Upgrades in My Account: these don't usually have VOIP mentioned in the default.

You need to actually phone 03451 720088 or use Chat to ensure VOIP is added at the time and to get the best deals. Ask to speak to the Loyalty team  / Retentions  / Better Value.
