International calling to South Africa MTN mobile numbers

Hi,

I am having a issue specifically when trying to call any number on the MTN network in South Africa, I have the international calls boost and calls to other South African numbers work ok.

Is there a known issue with this? It used to call through ok. Now it rings and then the line goes silent with the receiving person not having it ring on their end.

It just rings and then goes off, the people on the receiving end's phone doesn't ring.

What message do you receive when you attempt to call, or does the call gets disconnected?

Yes, it was just MTN but now it seems to be all networks.

Just to confirm, have you tried to call the other networks?

It doesn't seem to be working with any South African numbers now, not just MTN, is anyone else struggling to call South Africa?

I understand. As you have mentioned that you are currently having issues when calling the MTN network, I will strongly advise for you to get in touch with the provider directly.

This has been going on for about 2 weeks now.

@agm2502, thank you for making us aware of this. If I may kindly check, have you noticed the matter today? 

Note: There could be a problem with MTN, as South Africa has experienced heavy rains over the past few days. This may have impacted ISP networks. I strongly recommend waiting a bit and trying to make the call again tomorrow.
