Hi

We have a VOIP Landline, and have had for some time, though our fibre was recently updated.

Since the update the phone constantly gives the beep - beep tone as if there is a message.

I have dialled 1571 many times, but there is no new or saved message.

Any idea what the tone could be indicating ?

Thanks

Probably wise! As long as it's not affecting your service as such.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Cheers.

To be honest, after spending so long on to the helpline, I may just live with it.

It's the standard long tone, not interrupted at all.

Is the Voip dialtone the standard, or could the 'message' tone I'm getting be it ?

Thanks

Well, my VoIP most certainly does have a dial tone, so I would question the veracity of the advice you have been given there.

Well, just under an hour on the 'phone, so quicker than last time.

But, I'm told we don't have an issue.

Apparently voip does not have a dial tone and the beep-beep message tone we are getting is an anomaly but not a fault ?

I will have to remember to dial 1571 each time I come in.

Hi

Thanks for responding.

Last time I called I was on the line for nearly two hours without an answer.

I will try again when I have some time.
