Parts of the UK recently experienced several lightning storms and torrential rain. This caused damage to the Openreach network, with impact to both above and below ground connections, and an increase in faults being reported.
Openreach therefore informed us that repair activities in the following areas would be delayed while they work through the requests:
- East Downs
- Wearside
- Northumberland
- Central Downs

Openreach confirmed that all areas above are no longer impacted and repairs are being completed as normal.
