Most VPN sites are blocked

I am unable to access the websites to most VPN providers, including;
Nord, Proton, Surfshark, Express, and I cannot open NordVPN on my desktop.

My browser simply states "Secure Connection Failed", it's the same on any device I use, mobile, desktop, through WiFi and Ethernet.

I've flushed my DNS, I've restarted my router, I've checked My Security and Scam protection is off (in fact, all security is set to off). I'm 99% certain this is something on TalkTalk's end, as it was working fine earlier in the week.

Please advise 😭

Agreed, livechat provided no clear solutions as is expected. Glad it's a simple fix, but it really shouldn't be an issue in the first place.

And thank you @KeithFrench for the assistance.

I have to add a "me too" to this, though it has affected my ability to access adult sites too.  Changing to either Google (8.8.8.8) or CLoudflare DNS (1.1.1.1) has worked. However, this is really not the point.  I smell a strong whiff of "this fix just happens to work" rather than anybody at Talktalk knowing why.   Kidssafe/Scam/Homework/Virus all off in Account settings.  I'd pull up what is on the Talktalk DNS, but it's not my job.

Gotcha, that's enlightening, I presume after I change this setting my router will need restarting?

No, that is not the correct place at all. You need to configure it in the router, so that all of your devices can use it. To do this, log into the router & go to:-

Dashboard > See internet settings > Manage advanced settings > Internet connectivity > DNS IPv4

Then change the DNS dropdown box to Manually Specify DNS. Then set DNS 1 & DNS 2 as required.

Just in Windows 11's settings. Could this be done in my router's settings?

Where have you made the changes to CloudFare?

Appreciate the quick reply.

So looking into my DNS prompted me to change it to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and that seems to have bypasses the block. Thing is, it's still blocked on my phone, so I'm not sure if it's an issue with the router or what, or how to change DNS addresses on mobile.

Router: FAST F5364-3.T8

Of course, partially solving it is nice, but I'd still like to not have to fiddle with DNS settings to access certain websites 😖

I did see someone last week complaining that they were unable to access the surfshark website, I have just tried that one & it is fine here. What make/model of router are you using & what network DNS servers are in use, TalkTalk or Google etc?
