I am trying to find out why some emails never appear in my inbox and why rules on filtering seem to change at random.
Reading threads, it is a shame that most of the solutions appear to be - don't use Talktalk. I can't understand why there is no option to add a safe sender email address to the filter to make sure emails come through.
Equally, why do some emails from the same sender get blocked by the server so you never see them, some get funnelled into junk but the majority go straight into the Inbox?
I use Talktalk webmail and the email app on my Samsung phone

Hi, @ArchaicGecko
In TalkTalk webmail, filters are called 'Rules'. and 'safe sender email addresses' are called 'Allowlist'
To set a sender email address as safe:
go to TalkTalk webmail,
on the top right, click the Cogwheel --> click 'All settings'
--> scroll down until you see 'Access Lists' --> click 'Access Lists'
--> click 'Add new address' --> enter the safe email address --> click 'Add'
--> the entered address should in future end up in the Inbox folder, even if TalkTalk thinks it might be junk.
