Usb stick needs to initulise every time I try to record or pause

Have you tried an alternative USB stick?

 

What capacity stick do you have?

 

Where did you purchase this from?

 

The reason for asking the last question is that eBay is awash with fakes and and they also sell high capacity sticks but in reality the capacity is far lower.

 

We have seen the 4k box reject such sticks, so we recommend sticks of up to 256gb bought from high street stores or supermarkets.

 

If you have one from a high street store, then the capacity may be an issue.

 

If you have one above 256gb, the box does struggle sometimes to format the stick.

 

Try formatting the stick on your pc and then reinitialising on the box.

 

If that does not work, youcould try resetting the box to factory settings by pressing the button on the side 5 times so the box restarts. This should get rid of any bugs in the box and reformat the stick.
