No or intermittent TV signal issue

Help please. suspect this is a plug /hardware issue. All internet/power/switches to smart TV fine but a No Signal message on TV albeit once or twice has flicked onto 101 channel (BBC1 HD) for a couple of seconds. One of three green light icons on TallkTalk plug does not light up: the house/middle icon (this is NOT the router) it's the tv set-top box plug into mains to receive the signal through the box(?).

Is the plug faultly, should this middle "house icon" be lit up? Cannot find anywhere on Help /Troubleshoot sections or even in original booklet that came with Set-top box.

Thanks, SuseHam

What happens on the TV itself if you put the aerial directly into the TV when you are having these issues?

The YouView boxes are unfortunately nearing the end of their life and do exhibit odd behaviour, but usually with recordings.

You say that they havevcompeted all tests.

Did this include a maintenance reset?

If not this might be worth trying.

Hi, thanks. Its only normal viewing affected. Apps/catch up all great. Its a Huawei box. TalkTalk have done all tests but sending new box but realise it might be hardware/plug or possibly geographic mast /aerial issue. (although my roof aerial is fine /quite new as far as know).

The power line plugs would only affect internet provided material such as catch-up via iPlayer, not your normal TV viewing which is via the aerial.

Is it catch-up that is the issue, or normal viewing?

You mention smart TV. Is this experiencing any issues if you watch TV via this, or just the box?

Which box do you have so we can give more advice please?

What have you tried so far to try and rectify the issue?

If it's a signal issue via the aerial has this coincided with the extreme hot weather as this can cause signal issues?

Please let us know.
