Replacement Remote for TV Hub

I've had some conversations regarding a replacement remote. The latest was with 'fr8yrs' ? where it was suggested that since a remote for my hub could not be supplied have received an out of date one a replacement Hub could be supplied. I am wondering if there is any news on this? The last message I tried to send from the emails I have received was undeliverable.

@RFL1066, just looking back at the first post in this thread, you'll not get a response ever from replying to the emails  - they are for notification purposes only, and from a no reply address.

 

So you do need to always post back on here. Best if you can stick to one thread only for one topic.

 

This seems to be topic nr 3 for effectively the same issue.

 

Just follow up on this one henceforth to maintain continuity!

As far as I know the replacement hub has not been ordered - that's what I have been trying to get information on.

If required I will return the unusable remote. Thanks

Hi, yes some of the buttons are not working very well. We have been sent a replacement which apparently is an out of date version. Hopefully I will not be charged for that one. It was suggested that a replacement Hub would be required.

Ok, thanks.

 

You have been sent an old YouView remote, which TalkTalk used to supply, which is what I suspected.

 

My understanding is that there are no supplies of the TV Hub remotes that can be sent as replacements and that if a remote is faulty the whole box has to be replaced to get a new remote. 

 

I assume you were taking through the process of

to see if this resolved the issue. If not could you please try this.

 

If that doesn't work or if you have already tried please post back so staff can pick up for you and hopefully arrange a box swap for you.

I did remove the plastic tab which isolates the battery on the new remote just in case you see the tab in the photo.

Can you post a picture of the original remote and the new remote please?

 

Also what model box do you have? A YouView box or the TV Hub, or a Netgem 4k box? If not sure a photo would help.

Having requested a replacement remote control for our TV Hub because some of the buttons on the old one were not working very well - I received it today. Unfortunately it is not quite the same as the old one and does not seem to control the TV Hub with the ID -
