Smart tv working via Wi-Fi with no tv hub but cannot access free view channels

My talk talk box is broken. My smart tv is connected to my Wi-Fi and I can access BBC iPlayer, Four, Five, and Netflix but I cannot access/store free view channels. The tv is now plugged into my estate’s communal aerial instead of the box but should the other end go into the back of the tv now that it is out of the tv box? Daft question, and can’t get through to the Technical Team. Thank you.

No thanks.

@Liddlek, you'll need to follow up on your own thread, which is here:

If you lose track, check in your community profile area under ACTIVITY. You can find your way back to your own topic and it's replies there.

Thanks, it'll try this later (& check a spare tv also on same aerial with freeview in a room not used for a while). Thanks again.

The TV aerial needs to be plugged directly into the TV, bypassing the box, i.e the plug that went into the box should go into the TV

Hope this helps.
