TalkTalk TV Upgrade problems

I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to upgrade my TalkTalk TV on the website but keep getting an error message saying the requested URL was rejected.

I don't currently have a TalkTalk TV box because my YouView box gave up a few years ago. Of course though, I'm still being charged £5 for TalkTalk TV just to watch TV channels that are already covered by the TV Licence!

Why can't I upgrade online? I don't really want to spend hours on chat or on the phone, and I shouldn't have to. Is a TV box included with the TV package? I've just renewed my TalkTalk contract, and, as usual, existing customers don't get anything. I suppose that's reserved for new customers.

I'm a drummer in a very well known band, I'm also a world class racing driver and crazy golf world champion 7 years in a row. Please note - I'm a bit of a dreamer and try and make my life sound more interesting than it is, so the above statement might not be true.

Are you aware the new box does not record?

It's basically a streamer, with catchup apps, that also has TV channels.

If your TV is Smart, it probably already has the apps you require.

If not other customers have phoned and cancelled their TV subscription and gone the route of buying their own box that records, or an Amazon firestick or Roku Stick.

Whatever, you will probably have to phone to either get a box, or definitely to cancel your TV charge.

Have a look at the various options posed and then Try phoning 0345 172 0088, once you've made a decision.
