We have been receiving a lot of spam emails recently - suddenly started 😞
On trying to mark them as spam, I am told that they are "newsletters" and so have to delete each one individually. They are obviously spam so why are they getting through; apparently flagging themselves as newsletters beats the spam filters etc!
Any thoughts on how to improve?
Thanks

It's a requirement that senders of genuine newsletters do provide a prominent Unsubscribe link and mark their mail as a newsletter for auto unsubscription. So what's happening here is that the mail service is just checking that the message is truly spam.
To proceed to alert the mail service then select the middle button to Report spam. This report will then be added to the sender intelligence gathered from other reports to fingerprint the spam content. When sufficient user reports have been gathered to positively identify the spam then network blocking can take place.
