My contract finished today but we move house in around 6 weeks time.  I understand I get charged if I start a new contract now at my current address then switch to my new address so how can I go about a month or so contract to keep me online ?

@Confused01, there's nothing that we can do to resolve this for you on the forum as there is no staff support on here any more.

See opening hours for Chat  / phone support:

There is a Complaints procedure explained in the link at the bottom of any Talktalk page.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.

Well it seems that they took that as a notice of cancellation. With hindsight, the best thing to do would have been nothing.

Hi ferguson

I gave notice that I didn’t want to renew my contract , for the reasons I’ve stated and yes exactly this , I expected to be charged at the out of contract rate !!  So annoying

Did you cancel your current service? Otherwise it should have just continued, albeit at the out-of-contract price.

I was assuming my connection would continue here & pay a full price. Instead today my connection has been disconnected !! Which has not gone down well at all in my household. Surely by agreeing to a new contract before we move in around 6 weeks time is commitment in itself so why should I be willing to pay a charge !?!
my new address definitely has takktalk available by the way. All I want is a quick fix to this asap

You currently on a rolling month on month contract, so full price from the end of the minimum term, for the continuing service @Confused01.

https://help-centre.talktalk.co.uk/Setting_up_my_service/Moving_home/Home_move

Order your Home Move through Talktalk (checking first that they even actually supply to your new address).

If you can use the team to move it is a £60 charge if no new contract or no charge as long as you take out a new contract for the new service.

If they can't supply your new service, it will require 30 days' notice to cancel.
