To an OCE
Please generate a correct final bill.
My service terminated on 7th April, but I was billed £39 for 1st-30th April. When I queried this via chat, I was told my full direct debit would be taken and a refund issued later.
I therefore cancelled my direct debit and made a one-off pro-rata payment for 7 days service.
I can see there is now a small balance on my account, but the bill still says £39.
There is a returns bag for the router, in the box. Note that this is a Huawei Hub Black, not the Eero which would be the norm for my service. I returned the Eero when the Huawei was supplied to replace it, and you noted that on my account.

Hmm many TT things are beyond control.
Love the new bright yellow website 🤑
You've always been super helpful Keith, so many thanks.
New ISP super efficient, twice the speed and £10/mth cheaper.
I feel like a rat leaving a sinking ship.

@davecm, final bills are explained here:
https://help-centre.talktalk.co.uk/Billing_and_Payments/Check_my_bills_and_usage/Your_final_bill
Once issued, a bill cannot be altered. Any changes made will show on the NEXT bill.
Talktalk charges the full month ahead because, until the service actually switches, they cannot be sure of the dates.
Excess payment for days not used is credited back to My Account. It would show on the next bill. The easiest way to reclaim it is via the direct debit instructions that should have been left in place.
The system may generate a charge for the bill not being paid in full.

Sorry, but our hands are tied; the changes are beyond our control.
