I am getting sent emails rejected at random with various messages including 'contact your service provider as part of their network is on our blocked list'  This seems to have become a regular but random occurrence over the last week or so.

If they are being rejected due to your router's WAN IP address on a blocked list, not knowing which one, there should be a link allowing you to challenge this. Obviously, with links in emails, be very careful that the link is genuine & not a scam.

Another way is to force a new WAN IP address, which can be easy or not, depending on the type of package that you have:-

  1. ADSL broadband - turn the router off for at least 30 mins.
  2. Fibre to the cabinet & copper wires to the house - turn the router off overnight, but even then, the WAN IP address may not change. If that is the case, try turning the router off for longer.
  3. Full Fibre  - turn the router & ONT off for at least 30 mins.
