Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

This started about a week ago. Got an error message saying that I am not in the uk (which I am) then the Secure Connection Failed error every time.
I have tried all the fixes I have found in google, cleared cache, cookies, site data etc, rebooted my router but same error every time. Have turned off firewall in Norton 360 but nothing helps.
Any advice weould be very much appreciated.
No other problems accessing any other web pages.

@argchichester did you check the ad blocker?

@Gliwmaeden2 Thanks for the input. Not using Homesafe and have tried turning Norton 360 firewall and anti-virus off. Makes no difference.

@argchichester, anything with conceivably age related restrictions can get blocked.
Check Homesafe settings. Sometimes virus alerts on there need to be switched off to access sites.

We'll need you to clear your browser cache. To do this, please follow these steps:
Web browsers temporarily store images and text from web pages on your hard drive in a storage area called a cache. Your cache has information about web pages you visit, so that they'll load more quickly in the future, but it may cause problems when websites change.
If you experience problems displaying web pages you may need to clear your browser cache. If you're not sure, you can check which browser you're using.
To see how to clear your browser cache, select your browser from the list below, and follow the instructions.

Just get the "Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR
Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified." message

Do you see a blocked webpage notification message when attempting to access the site you experience problems with?
on 05-03-2026 01:20 PM
@Philile-TT Nothing like that

Do you have any active monitoring for life threatening health reasons which is solely dependant upon your TalkTalk Broadband or Telephone line?
For example a care alarm, lifeline, health pendant or fall detector.
on 05-03-2026 01:17 PM
@Philile-TT Yes I am at home connected via TalkTalk router
on 05-03-2026 01:13 PM
@argchichester Are you currently at home, where the TalkTalk service is installed?
on 05-03-2026 01:10 PM
Please bear with me I will run a diagnostics test.

From National LotteryI found this on a different thread which may be relevant? Does my isp address registration need to be updated to show I am in the UK? This is the error message I received before the problem began I can confirm that I do not use a VPN.

@Philile-TTe I have cleared cache and cookies, reset Firefox and rebooted my router but same result every time. I don't have any more devices I can try only 2 running Firefox and the Kindle Fire HD. All devices able to access websites but with problems loading any National Lottery web pages.

Thank you very much for letting me know. Please clear your cookies and cache or use a different device and try to access the National Lottery website. If that does not fix the issue then we can then explore alternative solutions. Thanks
