Hi,
We have been contacted via email and telephone by what appeas to be TalkTalk asking us if we'd like to upgrade our fibre to a direct line which would be faster. They say it is free as they are upgrading lines in our area - we are very suspicious about it.
The first time was a few months ago via telephone, then the latest time via email was last week. The numbers to contact are different on each occasion.
Can anyone confirm if this offer is genuine, or is it a scam?

I believe some customers are being offered this, probably due to a lack of serviceable cables from the fibre cabinet to your property, but that does not in any way guarantee this is the case where you are.
Make sure that your Community Profile is up to date, so as TalkTalk can identify your account from your Community username. They will then respond to you as soon as they can.
