I've been trying to update a git repo over a TalkTalk connection. After exactly 30 seconds, regardless of the repo I'm trying to pull, I'll get an error like this:
$ git pull
remote: Enumerating objects: 4378, done.
remote: Counting objects: 100% (2125/2125), done.
remote: Compressing objects: 100% (238/238), done.
error: RPC failed; curl 18 transfer closed with outstanding read data remaining
fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly
fatal: early EOF
fatal: index-pack failed
I've tried this on multiple computers that were all working fine on git prior to connect through TalkTalk. Is this a known issue?

Hi dangoyette
Just to confirm, is this working ok now you have switched off KidsSafe?

It turns out this was caused by whatever safety protections are in place through Kids Safe. Kids Safe seems to kill SSH connections that are open for more than 30 seconds?
Anyway, the solution was to bypass Kids Safe entirely. You can do that by turning it off, or hard-coding your DNS.
I'm all set now. Once I hard-coded my DNS, git started working properly again for me.
