Hello, In one extreme of my property my wifi channel is getting interference from someone else's wifi. So I reviewed the situation in different places and decided to change the channel from 9 to 5. Could not get the web-page from the router, so I repowered the router. Fixed that, hope just a temporary problem. Made the change and applied it. The WiFi did not come back on. (Vac clean the spider webs behind the router.) Repower again - not fixed. With a WiFi monitor on my phone I can see my WiFi appearing briefly every now and then, and disappearing . Connect a PC to the router by cat-5 cable, get the router web-page again. Now, if I set the channel to where it was in the first place, i.e. 9, it's fine. If I change it to another there's no WiFi signal. (Only tried 8 and 6 so far.)
Can anyone explain this please? Is the router faulty. Router was new from TalkTalk in 2021, SG4K100208.

Hi @RichardDL
Within the 2.4GHz band, you should only ever use channels 1, 6 or 11, as these are the only non-overlapping channels. Do not use 5 or 9.
You have either the WiFi hub 1 (Sagemcom FAST 5364) or Hub 2 (5464), you may benefit from the FAST 266 WiFi Booster to reach the extreme of your property. I would really need to see screenshots from your WiFi analyser to confirm this. Which one are you using?

Unfortunately, support staff are no longer available here and this will require you contact TalkTalk directly as the forum is now peer to peer and this is something we are, on this occasion, unable to help you with, unless @KeithFrench can offer any advice.
