Our internet connection is regularly disconnecting at 3.am ... and will not reconnect. Nothing has changed with the set up so we are baffled and it is now becoming a pain.

There were two issues, engineer said a little (whatever that means) fault outside, i am guessing underground pipe as he had the lid up over the road to us....and also a lead needed replacing to the master socket. It has all been fine since.

btw...i would see the orange light at 3 am and just leave it, it would stil be flashing at 7 am when i got up to switch it all off...

today is happened 2-3 times but re connected itself quite quickly...this is an improvement as when it was just happening at 2.30-3.00 am it could not/would not reconnect itself, we had to switch off at master socket then back on again, it was only during TT check on sunday that it came back on...the engineer is visiting tomorrow so I really hope they can fix this. We are baffled as to why it suddenly started to happen when nothing here has changed.

we are very interested as to what the engineer will find/do etc as if it is internal wiring it baffles me how it chooses to have a jig and disconnect between 2.30 am earliest and 3.00 am and will not reconnect, just the flashing orange light, unless we switch off at the main socket....i will update here if anyone is interested in the outcome.

Hi.... it would only reconnect after switching off at the main socket, but this morning we had to do that 3 times before we got it back on....since then talktalk have now arranged an engineer call out to look at all.

Hi @Myrtle_ have you checked that the homework settings are not interfering?
What time does it reconnect?
