I'm having issues connecting my devices on some days as the internet is so slow.  I have done a signal test from router to device and its saying poor. Some days my phone is saying can't find IP address  and my personal and work laptop take over 5 minutes to find the wifi signal to connect and work. Rebooting the  router makes the speed faster but then the day after your back to square one. Its no point doing a factory reset on the router as that will mean having to reconnect everything from scratch and adding wifi passwords and if I can't connect them then nothing's going to work.

Hello,

How are you getting on? Do you still need assistance with this?

Thanks

Slow speed, intermittent dropouts, breaks in the signal, no signal on some or all devices or no internet access might be caused by Wi-Fi interference from other local networks, which can also lead to a permanent reduction in speed. No ISP can be responsible for your local environment, this is mainly a byproduct of the popularity of Wi-Fi.

Generally speaking, the 2.4GHz band suffers much more from interference than the 5GHz band, but the 2.4GHz one can sometimes have a better range, but this all depends on your local area.

If you would like me to help you, please can you specify the make/model of TalkTalk router that you are using?

Keith
