Hi, Ive spent the best part of a day trying to configure my plex media server on a nas drive connected to my pc to be accessable outside my home netwoork using cellular data on my phone
Not being a fan of upnp vulnerabilities I manually set up port forwarding on my talk talk sagem router to forward port 32400.
If I go into settings on my plex media server it disables remote access, making nothing in Plex visible over a remote network.
Things Ive tried:
I have reset router to factory settings
Reinstalled Plex
checked all permisions in plex
disabled firwalls
all to no avail
Then after googling I have discovered that talk talk use CGNAT in order to allow multiple users to share ip addresses.
This I am told is whats causing the problem.
Solutions seem to be request static IP.
Any thoughts please guys

Hi Chainsawcharlie,
How are you getting on, are you still experiencing problems configuring the media server? As Divsec has said, we don't supply static IP addresses

Hi @Chainsawcharlie and the one thing T T will not supply is a static IP.
