Recycling old equipment

I'm cancelling my Talk talk service and have equipment to recycle (2 x routers and 2 x TV boxes). I have recycling locations nearby but how do I ensure that Talk Talk won't charge me £50 as stated in the website. i.e. how will Talk Talk know I have recycled the equipment?
'If you cancel your service and don't return your TalkTalk equipment within 42 days from receiving your returns bag, you may be charged £50.00 to cover the cost of the kit you've kept. You won't be charged for equipment that isn't supplied by TalkTalk.'

Hello,
Just to confirm, did you receive a returns bag as the equipment would need to be returned?
Thanks

Hi,
You are in the staff's queue for a response.
For a quicker reply can you please ensure you have your personal information up to date in your profile including your TalkTalk landline phone number so your account can be traced. Link here - https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/personal-profile:personal-info
If you are unsure of your phone number, you can find this in My Account or dial 17070 from your landline phone and this will confirm the number for you.
You can also add your account number in the private notes field, which only you and the support staff can view.
Please post back when done.
They will then be able to help you.
Thank you
