Got my new TalkTalk router to replace the Shell Energy one - but the signal strength is not as good - can I continue to use the older one?

moved house and transferred the account - they just sent me one like a new customer.  I used the Shell one for a few days, then plugged in the new one - but it gives less coverage throughout the house

 There does not seem to be a way to ask this question directly via a chat service

No reason why not but curious as to why they sent a TalkTalk one.

 

They'd normally only send if there was an issue with the existing one.

 

Was a returns bag sent? If not you probably need one to send the TalkTalk one back.
