Just discovered my TalkTalk router (Sagam) is blocking access to my Macrium update accounts. Anybody else found similar issues? What to do about it?

Thank you @KeithFrench.

Hi @Caterus
There is nothing to suggest that you need a new router, just because the settings were greyed out. Did you change the DNS dropdown box to Manually Specify DNS?
DNS
There was also a bug in earlier versions of firmware, where the DNS servers that are handed out to the devices were wrongly set to the TalkTalk network DNS servers. If you go to:-
Dashboard > See Wi-Fi Settings > Manage Advanced Settings > TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub > DNS
Here, the Primary DNS server should be the same IP address as the router (by default 192.168.1.1).
If the problem recurs, then please get me a tracert from the Windows command prompt to the website for Macrium.

Keith,
Many thanks for your helpful and rapid response. I tried your suggestion of changing the Router DNS codes but in my router these codes are grayed out and I could find a way to change them.
However when I returned to Macrium Reflect a day or so later I found the problem had been resolved??
I've no idea how/why this happened but I thought a brief description might be helpful to other TT users if they come across the same issue.
Background: Had a subscription for Macrium Reflect Home X for about 6 months without issues.
I upgraded my MoBo and C: drive and moved to W11 about 3 months ago but only recently noticed Macrium was reporting "unable to connect to internet".
Went though a series of tests of my h/w and s/w without finding an any obvious problems. Macrium still reported same problem for next week or so.
Requested assistance from Macrium technical support. They reported no problems at their end and commented that they had received similar issues from other TalkTalk users.
So after failing to change the TT router DNS codes I concluded I probably needed a new router.
But after a couple of days Macrium app started working as normal without any further intervention and has been fine since.
Make of this what you will.

The router will not block any outgoing traffic. Things like Homesafe & KidsSafe might, then there could be an issue on the network. You could try using another DNS server, such as Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). To do this, log in to your router & go to:-
Dashboard > See internet settings > Manage advanced settings > Internet connectivity > DNS IPv4
Then, change the DNS dropdown box to Manually Specify DNS. Then set DNS 1 & DNS 2 to Google DNS as mentioned previously and apply the settings.
If none of that helps, then to identify where the problem is, please can you PM me (to preserve your privacy) a trace route to the site in question?
