I have a talktalk router and until yesterday could access my btinternet.com emails with no problem.  I now get a message to say This Site Cannot Be Reached.  Windows diagnostics cannot find a problem. I have run a check on my account and there is no problems with my devices or my router.  Any suggestions please?

Morning,

I'm sorry for the delay. Could you retest and confirm if this is still happening please?

Thanks

Thanks @ferguson .

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

This seems to be affecting a number of users, see this thread:

@Rutheg Try changing your DNS settings as suggested there.

Ok, thanks for confirming. Staff will be back on Monday and hopefully pick for you then.

Someone else may have an idea in the meantime.

We have been with Talktalk for seven years but retained a btinternet.com email address which we have accessed without any issue until two days ago. I can still access the email address if I use my mobile phone 4G but not if I use wifi.  The message we get says that the server cannot be found.  Windows troubleshooter says there is a problem with the DNS.  We can access other websites without any problem - it seems as though the btinternet.com email log in page is being blocked but not sure what is blocking it.

I assume you are a TalkTalk customer and have transferred from BT. Is this correct?

If so then are you paying BT for your continued use of your email address, as if not you can only access it for 60 days after leaving. It may therefore be an issue to post for help on the BT forum.

Can you access the email on another device such as your phone using your mobile data?

This is more likely to be a BT issue than a TalkTalk router issue, but if you still have issues and can access via your Phone data, then please post back with more details so it can be looked into further.

Thank you.
