Manually archiving mail messages as you describe in TalkTalk Mail's mailbox will move those messages to one of the year by year archive folders.
In the folder view you'll see the standard folders - Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Spam and Trash and below that will be the virtual Archive folder name preceded by a right facing chevron icon. Select that chevron icon to expand the Archive into year by year folders and you'll see a 2024 folder if it was 2024 dated messages you were archiving.
