Hi.

 

As per subject line. I have included my (much cherished) pipex webmail address in my private notes. I had it from the days of - "I can use my phone AND internet at the same time"

 

I will update the old settings on my mail handler.

Hi Ady, Gondola.

 

Excuse my late reply - not been around for a little while, and have been using the email in a web browser.

 

Thanks for my 'restoration' Ady

 

Gondola - The account listed in my private notes was the maser account.

I do use another name  as an alias though.

 

Mailbox function was lost because I didn't heed the warning that was emailed to me about changing server settings in time.

I think the mail handler should be up to date - it's on a fairly new Android device.

 

I appreciate the help with this. I'll have a look at setting the account back up later today.

Hi alan-arc0 

 

Is the email address a master pipex email address of the form abcd12@dsl.pipex.com and is that the one added to the Private notes or is it an alias address?

 

Are you totally confident that no help is necessary checking the services / devices / email software for compatibility with TLS 1.2 encryption and the incoming and outgoing server settings in use? Did you identify the insecure settings, for example? The culprit device or software that got a stop on sending or mailbox access switched off because ports 25 or 110 or 143 were used?

 

I'm just a bit concerned that if the 'mail handler' is old then it may not support secure TalkTalk mail.
