I need assistance with an urgent issue affecting access to my email account.
Thunderbird is unable to establish a secure connection to imap.telco4u.net:993 because the server is not presenting a valid SSL/TLS certificate. The error shown is:
“Unable to obtain identification status for this site.”
Thunderbird cannot display any certificate details at all, which indicates that the IMAP server is either:
• not providing a certificate,
• providing an invalid or incomplete certificate, or
• failing during the TLS handshake.
I have confirmed the following:
• The hostname imap.telco4u.net resolves correctly
• Port 993 is reachable
• The SSL handshake fails because no valid certificate is presented
This is a server‑side configuration problem and prevents secure access to email. Please investigate and correct the SSL certificate and TLS configuration for imap.telco4u.net:993 as soon as possible.
I would appreciate confirmation once the issue has been resolved.
