I have 3 tiscali email addresses on my Talktalk account. They are set up on my PC, notebook and Android mobile (Moto g62 5G). One of the addresses stopped receiving emails about 2 days ago. I have checked that sync was on and that there is enough spare capacity on the phone. In the end, I deleted the email address as a synced account from the mobile and then tried to set it up again but I first get a message that 'email security not guaranteed', then it shows Port 143 and security type STARTTLS before finally giving me a message 'Couldn't open connection to server'.
The email address still works on my PC and mobile but on the latter it is necessary to log in each time through talktalk.co.uk rather than showing emails as they arrive.
Is there a switch at talktalk's end that needs changing on this email address or should I be changing the Port and security type?
PS I am not an IT expert and need simple explanations
