Email - Can no longer reply to emails

Since the new version of TalkTalk email(25th? Feb 2025), I can no longer reply to any emails.

The window pops up but then promptly closes down.

I've tried to check my Outgoing Email Settings - but I can't find the items I need to check - they are the Server, Server Port etc. I am using Windows 10.

Thanks

Have you tried clearing cache and cookies in the AVG Secure browser?

Hi

I have changed my password - I can still not create a new email or reply to an email using AVG Secure Browser. Although it works OK with Chrome.

Thanks

Weak passwords are responsible for the hacked accounts and the hacked accounts amongst other things are responsible for the spam that leads to mailboxes being blocked. In order for the mailbox to be unblocked you have to reset the password and it can't have been used before on the is mailbox.

Hi.

I give up - I don't see why I should have to fix these things. Talktalk has moved the goalposts and now my email no longer works as it used to.

Ady - Thanks for all  your help

Regards

Ok please reset the password for the mailbox to a brand new one that you've never used before. It absolutely must be a password you've never used. Then let me know what happens.

Could you send an email to your own email address in webmail and let me know if it arrives?

Hi Polly149, you need to test whether you can send in webmail. You login at https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite

Hi Ady

I don't use Webmail - I 'm not even sure what it is.

I always use AVG Secure Browser - this is where I can no longer reply to emails. I want to continue to use this.

I can reply to emails if I use Chrome on my laptop. I can also reply on my iphone.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Polly149, what happens when you use webmail are you able to send then? You can find the TalkTalk email settings in the help article.
