Hi Hillview, my apologies for not posting to say that I've passed your mailbox address to the team to investigate the problems.

@Sarah4uk  / @Hillview, I'll escalate this thread for staff attention, pointing out that you are the same person!

The thread has already been muddled enough by Hantslad jumping on. This is precisely why it is better that each customer starts their own thread.

I'll lock this for now, to stop further comments until staff have a chance to reply. If they don't catch this tomorrow, it will be after the weekend, I'm sorry to say.

Each further post delays the progress of the thread in the queue for attention. I'll highlight to staff the fact that you are the original poster.

If you're not otherwise a TalkTalk customer, you must be a Mailplus customer to use TalkTalk email. So it would have been an issue.

Are you using Webmail on the browser, or are you using an email app on your PC?

@Gliwmaeden2 i commented on other threads; because i've had this issue since Friday; and am no further forward!!!
I have signed up to mailplus in case that was the issue; but when i tried to call them yesterday, they couldn't help as i'm no longer a customer - just use the email!!

As so many other people are having issues on both web and non-web mail, surely by now talktalk would realise its  fault at their end...

Hi Hantslad, please send me a personal message including your affected email address I'll endeavour to get that resolved today. It would help if you could start a new topic too to allow us to better track this.

I've got the same problem with a secondary Email account with TalkTalk. I know what the problem is from previous years but it took me over 2 hours today on the telephone with them before they passed me on to 1st level technical support.

Background: If you have an Email account with them but no longer pay for any TalkTalk service, then they block sending Emails,  but you still can receive them.

My problem: I pay an annual subscription charge for the Mail plus product. I use a different provider for broadband. The subscription ran out the other day so there was a block put in preventing us  sending emails from 2 email accounts we have with them.

The subscription  charge was renewed and the primary Email account used for my TalkTalk account was automatically unblocked to allow me to send emails again (it took a number of hours) but the system failed to re-enable the other TalkTalk Email account to allow the sending of Emails again that is used by my wife (you can have up to 5 email accounts registered).  After 2 hours 43 minutes on the phone with them, they finally raised a case for the problem. They said I should hear from them by Friday.
