Can access webmail for a tiscali.co.uk account, but after required updates cannot connect via mail app on iPad or iPhone. iPad app is giving “cannot get mail, no password provided”, iPhone “cannot connect to server”. I’ve checked the new settings and checked the password via webmail, tried adding/deleting account but no luck

Hello, the same thing has happened to my email. I was on the phone for 90 minutes yesterday and no one could help. Please can my email be restored to the normal function?

Hi Rohowes
If you've updated the incoming and outgoing server settings and put in the Username (the full email address) and Password in all required boxes (it may say optional but it's required) then all that's now required is for TalkTalk to restore device access so the devices can connect to the mailbox to authenticate the password. Device guides below as a reference.
I'll request TalkTalk Support to provide full access for you.
All you need to do now is to Prepare for TalkTalk Support - include in the Community Profile (not in these public posts):
Account holder name, TalkTalk home 'phone number (if not Data Only broadband)
Alternative mobile contact number. Full address with postcode (in the Location box)
Scroll down to Private notes to add the customer email address and account number
Check and Save changes
