I can't send emails from either iPhone, android or from webmail.  The error message is 'the connection to the outgoing server "smtp.talktalk.net" failed.'

Sorry, yes.  I write it, press send, it disappears like it's sending, I then get a message about your server failing & the email I wanted to send has either gone into the Outbox (apple emails) or drafts (outlook on Samsung & webmail) but I can see it before I press send & again afterwards in the Outbox or drafts.

If you mean in my email inbox yes I have an email from you saying you have posted a new reply in Email. As I've said repeatedly, receiving emails isn't the issue, I am unable to send emails.  I get a message about your sever (see my previous messages for the content) and the email then either queues in the outbox or goes into my draft folder.

I've just checked again & I still can't send emails, I'm getting the same error message as yesterday.  Receiving them is ok, it's just sending them that's not working.

Can you please try to re-test your TalkTalk email and confirm to me if you were able to send the email now.

I'm still unable to send emails. 

Have you checked the settings at your end?  I'm sure I saw something on here about older email accounts & there being a change last Friday plus others seem to have had a similar issue recently.

Yes, I'm still getting the error.

Can you not check the settings at your end as I'm still geting this error even when I try to send an email directly from webmail?

I've been trying to send emails from either outlook, the apple email app or webmail via Samsung Internet browser & Chrome but I keep getting tge same error message - see comments below - because the emails won't send.  Trying to send another test email isn't going to help.

Okay, can you open your alternate browser, and we'll retry our diagnostics, to see if the original browser is causing of your issue.

 

The next step is to check your mailbox's send and receive functionality, so you'll now need to send a test email.

I've already explained that I've tried via the Samsung browser & via chrome.  Do you not know what the issue is only I keep being asked the same questions?
