Ex-customer - where and how do I pay to retain my talktalk.net email? No messages received.

Hi team,

I've just learned that TT are discontinuing free email for ex-customers and moving to Everymail.

I can login in with the TT email account at https://tt.everymail.com/. I have not received any message about subscribing to keep my address - please can you advise on how to do so?

Happy to pay - just don't how or where?

Cheers

You are lucky that they didn't catch up with you previously! Mail Plus was introduced in the autumn of 2019 .... not clear here how far back they would have looked to catch up on previous Talktalk broadband users still using webmail, and you always had some access anyway, just not all features:

The difference now is access is removed altogether if you don't pay, but Talktalk has seemingly lost track.

If you had been on Mail Plus it would have been a seamless switch across to Everymail!

It might be helpful if you can dig out your old Talktalk account number and add it in Private Notes along with the associated email address(es). You access this area by going via your avatar; settings and explore the drop down from Personal Information. SAVE CHANGES.

As the profile looks complete, there may be a way to trace back the details from that, @mandisa1-TT. The phone number linked to that old account might be the same etc.

If you can still access your email account using webmail (as you mentioned in your first post), then it seems that you are still receiving the service without charge, even though you have not been a TalkTalk customer for about 6 years.

According to the transition FAQs on https://help-centre.talktalk.co.uk/Email/Find_info_or_guidance_about_my_product/Email_Transition_FAQ..., anyone who is required to subscribe and has not subscribed by 8 September would no longer be able to log in to their email account, and would instead be directed to the subscription page.

Presumably, (based on my experience), if you can access your email account using https://tt.everymail.com/appsuite (the url that you mentioned), you can also access your email using https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite.

Perhaps one day TalkTalk will realise that you should be charged for the service.

TalkTalk is fine, when there are no issues, but getting issues resolved can be a real headache.
Incorrect information on TalkTalk help pages is unhelpful.

The only way you would be able to subscribe to Everymail is if we sent you a link, please check on your spam folder for any communication from us.

Can’t recall exact year, it was a long time ago but I’d say around 2017-19?
