Fibre Customer - do I have free mailboxes or not?

I am a TalkTalk Fibre 150 Customer.

According to this page About TalkTalk Mail Plus - TalkTalk Help & Support I should have up to five free mailboxes as a Fibre customer.

Where do I even start to access this service and set it up?

There is nothing on my Account Dashboard, nor on the App.

I cannot subscribe nor sign-in to Everymail using my account email (which is not a TalkTalk email address).

I spoke to help who were no help, and the chatbots don't understand what I am asking.

Do I have access to a mail service? If so, how do I access it?

If you, as the broadband account holder, have not set up any email addresses previously, then you are correct you cannot set up any Email Accounts.

If your wife's email address was from when she was a previous account and never associated to an old account of yours, then staff, when they were on the forum, confirmed it was not possible to associate this to your account.

Things may have changed in this respect, but unlikely , so it's worth contacting TalkTalk direct. You can find ways to contact TalkTalk by following the link in my signature.

Failing that, then your wife will need to sign up and pay Everymail to continue using this.

Hope this helps.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

OK, thanks for clarifying. It looks that way.

Hi there, thanks for replying.

I don't personally, but my wife was a previous TalkTalk account holder and has a talktalk address which she uses for everything. She has just received an email to say she'll lose access unless she subscribes/pays to Everymail. We can access her email in Everymail but there's no option to pay/subscribe as yet.

So:

As a current TalkTalk customer, I am not entitled to free mailboxes and right now, I can't set up a free or paid one either.

As a previous TalkTalk customer, my wife can retain her mailbox but she'll have to pay for it (at some point in the near future).

Is that correct?

If you have a TalkTalk broadband service then that help article does not apply to you. Have you received a notification recently about Everymail? If so, then again as a current broadband customer that would have been sent in error. Do you have any TalkTalk email addresses presently and are they working OK?
