Glitches on Talk Talk webmail

Hello,

Having used the Talk Talk webmail system on a regular basis, I would like to mention the following points as areas where improvements could be made.

1. When attempting to locate a specific email by entering details in the search box, this works successfully but has the effect of triggering a phantom new message in the Inbox, denoted by the red circular marker above that folder. After a refresh, the outcome is that there are no new emails after all.

2. Imagine you have a number of new emails - some you want to keep, others can be deleted. Clicking on individual messages to mark them as read, the tick stays on these so has to be manually removed for each one. If you fail to do to this and then select other messages for deletion, those that you want to retain are sent for deletion in one mass group.

As a way of improving the system, it would be beneficial from a user's point of view if the tick is taken away once confirmed as read, therefore minimising the chance of accidentally deleting messages by mistake.

3. Messages in the Deleted folder have to be deleted one by one via a tick.

It would be a lot easier and less time consuming to have a Delete All option instead as this will still allow the user to double check before making their selection.

The webmail system as a whole works well but is hampered by these fundamental glitches. Please consider whether you can make improvements and improve customer satisfaction as a result.

Kind regards,
Andy

I'll re-escalate this thread in the hope that you will get a follow up from staff, @capers62. It probably fell out of the workflow over time.

Hi again,

I note that no further changes have been made to webmail and although I appreciate this may take some time, my suggestions appear to have fallen on deaf ears.

My last post requested that a gentle reminder be sent to the email product manager but as I have heard nothing it is unclear if this has been done.

Regards,

Andy

Thanks for passing on my comments on, Ady.

As of today's date (19/10/24), no related changes or improvements have been made to webmail. In my opinion, the points I mentioned are more fundamental than the tinkering at the edges in terms of additional features such as font size, which have recently been introduced.

I can only hope that the email product manager takes heed of the issues raised.

Perhaps you could send a gentle reminder?

Kind regards,

Andy
