TalkTalk Community emails not reaching me at my TalkTalk email account.
These emails have to go via Gmail, because a year or so ago, I was forced to open a Gmail account, in order to use that as a username and use MyAccount in TalkTalk. These Gmail emails are then all automatically forwarded to my TalkTalk email account. No changes have been made by me at TalkTalk email or at Gmail. All emails from TalkTalk Community since at least 24 hours ago are missing. A test email directly from Gmail email to TalkTalk email says it has been sent, but nothing arrives at TalkTalk email. No error responses are given by Gmail. And the check has been done at TalkTalk Webmail, so it's not my email application.
EDIT at 3:49 -- I confirm: posted a test email from TalkTalk Webmail directly to my Gmail email address. TalkTalk reports no errors. Email does not arrive at Gmail.
I expect TalkTalk to fix this.

All systems GO.
tiscali.co.uk, talktalk.net, and Gmail all OK, both ways.
(Had to do some resettings at Gmail. No more BLOCKED or DELAYED emails.)
(I didn't expect such a quick result.)
Thank you all,
Bill

Unlike what some staff are saying, nothing has been fixed.
I have just finished redoing 4 tests. Here are the details, including email headers, with results.:

So I can use neither of these 2 TalkTalk accounts to communicate between TalkTalk and Gmail.
Remember we had been instructed to use a big name email company email address to register on TalkTalk,
and therefore to receive all emails from TalkTalk Community via that big name email company, in this case, Gmail.
No big loss to me, but that is the case.
Meanwhile my INBOX at Gmail is being flooded with 'Delivery Status Notification (Delay)' emails from Gmail itself,
and a few TalkTalk Community emails directly to the BIN folder.
I deleted all those to clear my Gmail account.
(None of the TalkTalk Community emails have been received at tiscali.co.uk in the last few days.)
Yours,
Bill

You're welcome. There's a backlog of mail so you may need a while to see those coming through.

Hi all, We’re aware that some of our customers are having problems with their Tiscali email service. Tiscali customers are currently unable to receive emails from Gmail. Senders from Gmail are reporting getting the error message 'The MX host does not match any MX allowed by the STS policy'.
This issue only seems to be impacting email clients (outlook for example), customers using our webmail service aren’t reporting issues.
Our team are working hard to get things back up and running, please check back here for updates.
Check the service status board for updates.

Hi
I had some trouble relogging into TalkTalk Community, because logging directly into Community requires one to receive a one-time-code via my Gmail email account. So, alternatively, I first needed to log into MyAccount, and then navigate to TalkTalk Community.
So, all's well.
So TalkTalk still cannot handle emails between TalkTalk and Gmail.
For an email sent from TalkTalk Community to my Gmail email account and then attempted automatic re-forwarding to my tiscali.co.uk account, I might receive a response message, like the following. The response remains local within the Gmail email account, not forwarded to tiscali.co.uk account. The response message usually is placed in the Inbox, but sometimes directly in the Bin. It is not an immediate response, it could take hours. And I cannot tell whether all emails from TalkTalk Community are treated exactly this way and in the order sent. In conclusion none of the TalkTalk Community emails are received back at tiscali.co.uk.

Delivery incomplete
There was a temporary problem while delivering your message to billsusernameattiscali@tiscali.co.uk. Gmail will retry for 47 more hours. You'll be notified if the delivery fails permanently.

The response was: The MX host does not match any MX allowed by the STS policy.

(* 'billsusernameatgmail' and 'billsusernameattiscali' replace the initial parts of both my actual email addresses.)
It seems the answer to the riddle is within the 'STS policy', which Gmail is trying to newly apply to TalkTalk, due to an avalanche of scam emails. (It also seems that TalkTalk has been caught frozen in the headlights.)
Now also, I've tested some emails manually:
emails from tiscali.co.uk to Gmail --> to Gmail Bin(trash)
emails from talktalk.net to Gmail --> to Gmail Spam,
with the added message 'Why is this message in spam? It is similar to messages
that were identified as spam in the past.'
emails from gmail to tiscali.co.uk --> recorded as sent from Gmail, not received by tiscali email, no error messages
emails from gmail to talktalk.net --> recorded as sent from Gmail, received by talktalk email, although slightly delayed

I am wondering also. Can the wonderful AI not fix this soon?

The following is a post on another thread today:

Hi fmob22, you'll notice we no longer supply web domains we used to but support costs and hosting costs far outweighed the profit/value so those services were dropped many years ago. We also used to allow mail forwarding until it became unsustainable due to the volume of traffic mostly spam. I'm sorry the mail service as it stands doesn't work for you, but its not going to revert to allowing mail forwarding.

Does this mean, that I can now revert to my original TalkTalk email address, instead of my Gmail email address, in order to log in to my MyAccount, and at the same time in order to receive and send email directly from my TalkTalk email address, rather than having to circumnavigate by forwarding from Gmail?
