Ok I made another email address ,that was ok but 2 weeks later after being on chat support ect ect it is still not working ,,, we are banging our heads against the wall here.....

the email and password are ok but we can not get in it says  password incorrect lol no its not as we can't even get in it for the first time!!. We even changed the password and were told to wait 72hrs ,, yep we did that,,, even deleted whole email and made a new one still nothing

we have spent hours on chat support can anyone help? no it doesn't work using talktalk webmail either.

Thanks for the comprehensive explanation. The first issue of not being able to create a new email address is a known incident. Its long standing and we've got no estimate for a fix. Re the password reset details I can help you with that. I've sent you a Personal Message to obtain more information.

Hi Andy,

 

The simple way I can explain it as follows.

 

 

 

I can currently login into what i call my main webmail account, from this i am allowed up to 5 additional email accounts.

 

3 are currently working and were created a few years ago however if I attempt to create a new additional account with new email and password webmail will go through that process and say it has been successfully created. 

 

 

 

But if I then try to login to the newly created account via webmail it says password incorrect.

 

When i contacted talktalk technical assistance and explained the issue they said that new accounts can take up to 48 hours before they activate. After the 48 hour period i then try to login and get exactly the same error.

 

 

 

Over the last 10 days i have created numerous new accounts and passwords and wait the 48 hour period but the result is always the same.

 

To eliminate issues my end I have created accounts on 2 separate windows 10 computers using the chrome browser as well as using an android.

 

The 48 hour wait period is slowing the testing phase down. Each attempt means such a long delay.

 

 

 

As stated the technical department say they will elevate the issue and resolve it but nothing happens.

 

 

 

Regarding the webmail software itself it is my belief there is a flaw, at present there is no way to send a forgotten password to any other email address other than the one I cant login into. Of course it will go through the motions of saying it has sent a reset mail but since i cant login into that account i will never see the reset mail. 

 

If the webmail allowed the email to be sent to a different working email address I could understand and see the possibility of recovery.

 

But there isn't that option which seems rather odd to me. 

 

 

 

Any help would be appreciated as I have exhausted every avenue including many hours talking to the technical department.

Hi abby64, can you explain a little more about the problem? If you go to TalkTalk webmail are you able to log in to webmail?
