My handsets are showing message Please check line cord. I have checked everything. TalkTalk have run a line test and say it is fine. I have a BT4500 digital phone. The phone rang today, showed caller, but when I answered it made strange noise and could hear ringing. Put phone back on base and had message check line cord on all handsets. No dial tone, cannot access contacts, nothing works. I am concerned that talktalk were doing some adjustments with Open Reach recently. I do not know what to do next. I tried chat line with TalkTalk but this finishes at 9.p.m. so too late. I do not want to use my mobile phone to call you as PAYG and it will cost the earth. Any help appreciated.
Incidentally, I could not get into Community until I had set up a new account. It kept telling me I had already linked account... I did not receive the security number on my email either.

I can see that Openreach have closed the fault yesterday evening as resolved.
Is everything working ok now?

Hi @GBy1231
Thank you. I can see that fault has been passed to Openreach and is under investigation with a line engineer.
I will keep monitoring for further updates.
