I have a broadband only account with TalkTalk which I wish to cancel, but I wish to keep my tiscali.co uk email account active. I am currently subscribed to Everymail via TalkTalk. I know I can pay £5 monthly or £50 annually to Everbright to keep my tidcali account active but I don't understand how, or when, I can do this. What is the process?

Hi @Aodhán Thanks for your message — happy to clarify how it works.
When you cancel your TalkTalk broadband service, your tiscali.co.uk email will continue to work for a short period. After that, TalkTalk will send you an email asking you to subscribe to an Everymail account to keep your email active.
Here’s what you can expect:
1. Cancel your broadband as normal.
Your email won’t stop immediately.
2. TalkTalk will email you when your mailbox is due to be moved to a paid subscription.
That email will contain a link and instructions to sign up.
3. During the gap between cancellation and receiving the signup email, you will still be able to send, receive, and access all your tiscali messages as normal.
4. Once you receive the communication, you can choose the £5 monthly or £50 annual Everymail option to keep the address active long‑term.
This means you don’t need to set anything up in advance — just wait for TalkTalk’s prompt after your broadband service ends.

Thanks for your message. I am new to this so probably have misunderstood when I noted that" I am currently subscribed to Everymail via TalkTalk" I seem to be able to access talktalk if I log in via everymail using my tiscali email address and login. I do have a talk talk account and probably not a subscription to everymail at present. All I want to know is , if I close my talk talk broadband account will I definitely be able to keep my tiscali email address, and is it correct that to do so I wait for an email from everymail to ask me to subscribe to everymail to keep the tiscali account, and will i be able to continue to recieve and send emails via my tiscali email address between the time I close my talk talk broadband and being asked to subscribe to everymail.

Hi @Aodhán Just to make sure I’m fully understanding — you mentioned that you are “subscribed to Everymail via TalkTalk”.
Could you clarify what you mean by that?
If your TalkTalk broadband service is still active, your email should currently be covered under your broadband account, and you wouldn’t normally already have an active Everymail subscription. That paid subscription only becomes necessary after your broadband service ends.
If you can let us know what subscription you believe you're currently on, we can guide you properly on the next steps.

I am a wee bit confused by your opening comments, namely that you are "already subscribed to Everymail via TalkTalk?" That shouldn't be the case if you are currently a TalkTalk broadband customer.

Thanks for the reply. To be clear. I just close my talk talk broadband account ( only service I have with talk talk), which is what I want to do, then wait for an email from either talk talk or every mail ( which ?) to pay for an everymail subscription and, in the time between closing my talk talk broadband account and starting the subscription with every mail I will be able to receive and send email from my tiscali email, and access my InBox etc.

@Aodhán your emails will continue to work up until you receive communication to sign up to Everymail?
