I have my new system connected today and this is one side of the room and my old broadband connection is on the other side of the room. It looks like I'm going to need a long lead to connect to my new router, is that correct or is there another way ?

Ron.

Or, for a more permanent connection akin to hard wired to your router but via your electric circuits there are powerline plugs.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Hi,

Instead of a long ethernet connection, and assuming your computer doesn't have a Wi-Fi card installed, I'd suggest buying a Wi-Fi dongle, then you can connect to your new router wirelessly.

A quick google search brings up many such devices, so the choice is yours but best to check the range etc so you get one to meet your needs.

Hello there @1rialli1, just to double check, are you currently referring to the router power cable or the yellow cable which will make your connection to be wired?
