Legacy Tiscali Email Account

Hi there all,

I am really desperate from some help from you lovely people.

I have a most annoying issue.  I pay £50 a year to use the TalkTalk email servers for one of the old legacy Tiscali email addresses.  I was late paying this year, so my service was restricted. I paid the bill now and everything should be working normally.

However, albeit I can access my mail via webmail and the Talktalk mail app itself, I can no longer use my email desktop client (em client) or my google mail.  The email settings remain identical save that I have changed my password to see if that would change the problem, on emclient I receive the error message:

"Server says "Authentication failed""

Google mail says:

"Correct credentials needed"

I am of course entering the correct password, which works for webmail and/or the talk talk app.  I really want my emails delivered to my desktop so I would love to get this resolved.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks everybody

Val

You should find your mailbox is in full working order again.

Hi BlooDog, your mailbox has been restricted to webmail only.  I've requested that it be returned to full service.

Did you also have to change the password in em client and Google mail as well?

I am not sure if you had to, or if you did, whether you did.
