All email accounts now on the Samsung app and working fine Phew as i was seriously thinking of doing a hard reset of the phone to fix it but no need now.
I was thinking the issue was because of all the emails i have sent and received but it would affect all devices and the TT account like last time and not just the fussy Samsung. 🙂
Thanks again for all your help you are a STAR!!!!!

I appreciate your time to let me know the Samsung email app is working for you. Thank you.
Here's an explanation about DKIM etc courtesy of our friends at Mimecast.
TalkTalk uses SPF, DKIM and DMARC as standard.

Gmail app still not working but MY nice shinny Samsung App (Red) as it had it on my old S7 and it has more downloads and reviews that the others.
It is working fine after testing several times so happy bunny for now.
Still haven't a clue what the DKIM (or SPF) is or means
Thanks for all your help.

Don't worry about the Ionos report or Gmail incoming mail rejection. The reported issue is just for sending emails from unauthenticated domains.
I can confirm that secure mail sending from TalkTalk is authenticated with SPF, signed with DKIM and does have a DMARC policy in place. In summary, all secure TalkTalk Mail outgoing sent by the TalkTalk SMTP senders is fully authenticated.

Just clearing tyhe cache and date on g mail app and then start playing with the G mail and samsung apps.
But found this reply on the Techy forum but cant see how it will just affect my Samsung if it was the case;

The S22 does come with a Samsung email app pre installed.
But if you cannot find that then Play Store has Blue Mail and Type App email apps that I've tested and both work without a problem and set up easily on Android.

I didn't try the Samsung e mail app
I thought they no longer have one but will check this afternoon and try.
I am going to delete the g mail app and reinstall that again.
Which ever app that works with my work email also with an easy switch between accounts I will be happy with.
Thanks

I agree that your diagnosis is right that it's a glitch on the Samsung S22. Did you get the same result setting up the email account on the Samsung email app rather then the Gmail app?

Deleted the account off my phone and turn phone off and on leaving a couple of minutes for it to be off and turned back on then did a restart then set up the TT account.
All the e mails downloaded perfect so did a couple of test e mails and they didn't show on my phone so deleted the account and tried again and the same thing happened again arrrgggg
My other accounts on the g mail app work fine and my spare phone is working ok so definitely the Samsung but dont know why.
Thanks for all your help
I have asked on mse tech forum as its not TT at Fault also.
Either way I will keep you informed if any fixes you suggest don't work.
Thanks again.

The settings appear to be perfect for the incoming IMAP mail server. The mailbox obviously has IMAP connection enabled.
As a power down and power off hasn't resolved the issue that is likely to be an app glitch rather than a mailbox issue I would suggest that you remove the account from the gmail app, power down and back on and then reinstall the IMAP email account.
If you wish to troubleshoot first then try adding as an IMAP email account to the native email app on the Samsung S22 using settings as follows:
Account Type | IMAP |
Username | Full TalkTalk email address |
Password | TalkTalk Email password |
Incoming server settings
Server | mail.talktalk.net |
Port (IMAP) | 993 |
Security Type | SSL/TLS |
Outgoing server settings
Require sign-in | Yes |
Username | Full TalkTalk email address |
Password | TalkTalk Email password |
SMTP server | smtp.talktalk.net |
Port | 587 |
Security Type | STARTTLS |
Let us know that after reinstalling that you're back in action using secure email settings either via the Samsung or Gmail apps.
